First time I leave a comment here, but thanks a lot for the translations you released on Shoshimin Series
Discovered it with the anime like lots of people, and it quickly became one of my favorites, so after finishing Season 1, I was here, searching for novels’ english translations, and it was only on your website that I could find them
Everything’s so much more detailed and the slow pacing really fits the series
I believe I’m gonna read and re-read the whole thing lots of time
Glad you enjoyed the anime and novel! I translate to spread the works of Honobu Yonezawa to everyone (for some reason English publishers won’t touch them), so I’m heartened that you appreciate it. Now that I’m done with Shoshimin, I plan to move on to another series by Yonezawa-sensei, so do stay tuned.
I plan to translate Goodbye Fairy and the Beruf series if I can get manlyflower’s blessings for it, if not perhaps I’ll look at Season of Bookmarks and Lies.
As for platforms, I don’t really use social media, but I post on Patreon (the posts are set to public) and the Hyouka/Shoshimin discord.
Hey there TL! I just wanna say that your work is awesome and I appreciate it a lot. I’m pretty much the same with that guy who commented. Discovered the Anime then switched to the novels after it finished to get more content out of Shoshimin, which I just downloaded all available epubs. I really like Hyouka too, or just anything by Honobu Yonezawa at this point. I’m a huge fan of his work and I believe that he’s up there on some of the smartest authors in light novel or even in Japanese Literature. That’s why I’m excited for you to finish your new project Goodbye Fairy! But, If you have to pick, which one of his work is your favorite out of all them?
If I had to choose, it would be the Hyouka series because I like the mysteries there better. My favorite character in all his books so far is Kobato, though.
